Cricket
- Cricket at Eastleigh has a proud
past and is played in the 1st and 4th term with passion
and enjoyment. At the school we have two teams, Ter-horst (Grade 4-5)
and Commonwealth (Grade 6-7) as well as
a new feature Mini-cricket for the Grade 1-3
Swimming
- Eastleigh
Primary is one of only a few schools in the area to have a pool on the school
grounds. Swimming is in the 1st and 4th term for Grade
1-7. Swimming is a growing sport at Eastleigh and the
results are showing with provincial representation.
Soccer
- Last year at Eastleigh soccer
flourished with teams reaching past the quarter finals of the cup. Soccer is
played in the 2nd term and is always fun, hard work and a strong concentration
on sportsmanship.
Netball
- Netball at Eastleigh is always a favourite with the girls and of last year the boys too as
we introduced a boys team. Netball is in the 2nd term and is
coached with passion and pride; hope to see a great season again from all the
Teachers and learners involved with the sport.
Hockey
- This up and
coming sport is a huge success at Eastleigh, with teams
from Grade 1-7. The season is in the 3rd term and is a great way
to make friends and learn a sport where control is the key.
Tennis
- This power
severing, high speed game is played in a inter-area
league in the 1st and 4th term. It is enjoyed in our
mixed teams with all the players ending with a smile on their face.
Chess
- Chess at Eastleigh is enjoyed
from Grade 3-7 and is giving a new outlook to sports enthusiasts at school.
